Criteria:

  • Registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Hold a professional degree in Speech & Language Therapy
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Duties:
As a Speech & Language Therapist working with children with special education needs, learning, physical, and sensory disabilities, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each child’s needs, focusing on enhancing communication and social skills.
  • Provide one-to-one and group therapy sessions to support language development and sensory processing.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to create a cohesive approach to each child's development.
  • Offer training and guidance to school staff on implementing communication strategies within the classroom.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on the progress of each student, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team to create holistic support plans, contributing speech and language expertise to wider educational and behavioral interventions.
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings to support goal setting and progress tracking for each student.
