Experienced Residential Support Worker / Care Practitioner Job Vacancy - Bishop Auckland, County Durham. Permanent, Full Time or Part-Time.

Location: We are recruiting for Residential Support Worker jobs across County Durham. If you are within a 35-minute commute to Bishop Auckland from nearby areas such as Darlington, Durham, Spennymoor, Crook, Shildon, Willington, Barnard Castle, and surrounding villages, this could be the ideal role for you.

Your Role: In this Residential Support Worker job in County Durham, you’ll be part of a dedicated team at a newly established children’s home near Bishop Auckland, where you’ll help support young people with complex health needs, including physical and learning challenges. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing care and support tailored to each child’s needs.
  • Assisting with daily activities, personal care, and health management.
  • Creating a safe and nurturing environment that fosters growth and learning.
  • Supporting children with life skills, emotional development, and behaviour management.
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Criteria:
  • Previous experience in a residential or care setting working with children is essential
  • Qualified to Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent, or willing to work towards.
  • Flexibility to undertake sleep-in duties as needed.
  • A passion for delivering positive outcomes for young people.
