Business Development & Relationship Manager - North East England & East Midlands, Job vacancy

Location: Remote/Home-Based with regular travel across North England & East Midlands.  This would be covering SEN Schools & Colleges in Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire, West Midlands and Worcestershire.

Salary: £50,000 per annum Basic, plus performance-related Bonus. OTE £68,800 - £75,000 for exceeding targets. Uncapped enhanced scheme available.

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development & Relationship Manager to join one of the UK's leading Specialist Education Providers. Covering the North East of England, you will play a crucial role in developing new opportunities and partnerships that support Children, Young People, and Young Adults with a range of disabilities, including Autism. Your efforts will ensure our services are recognized as the first choice for specialist education and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Proactively identify and develop new opportunities to expand our reach. Focus on forging strong partnerships to provide essential specialist education and support services to more children, young people, and young adults in need.

  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain positive, trusting relationships with funders and key influencers, including local authorities and commissioners. Ensure our organization is seen as the preferred provider for specialist education and care.

  • Collaborative Strategy: Work closely with internal teams, including Marketing, Placement Managers, and key team members, to accurately represent our existing services and support new developments. Your efforts will help us continue to provide high-quality, person-centered care and education.

  • KPI Achievement: Set and achieve clear KPIs and targets, reporting regularly on progress. Your success will contribute to the growth and reputation of our organization.

  • Growth Exploration: Leverage your expertise to explore unique growth opportunities, enhancing our services and expanding our impact across the North East of England and East Midlands.

About You:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Commercial Acumen: Strong experience in developing and maintaining commercial relationships, particularly within the Social Care and Education sectors.

  • Sector Experience: A deep understanding of funding streams in either adult or children’s services, with experience working in Special Education Needs (SEN) and disabilities.

  • Negotiation Skills: Confident and skilled in negotiation, able to advocate effectively for the organization at national, local, and regional government levels.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of being an outstanding ambassador for our values and ethos.

  • Willingness to Travel: Flexibility to travel extensively throughout the North of England and East Midlands, with some overnight stays required.
