This fantastic opportunity is based in Crawley, West Sussex, and is accessible from locations within a 30-minute commute by car from Billingshurst, including Horsham, Haywards Heath, East Grinstead, and Dorking.

Your Role
As an Outdoor Education Leader, you will focus on delivering forestry activities to children and young people aged 3-19 years old. Your role will involve supporting outdoor learning, planning and preparing tailored sessions, and ensuring health and safety protocols are always followed. Key responsibilities include:


• Delivering engaging forest activities for individuals or groups
• Assisting with the maintenance of the school's outdoor areas
• Helping students develop confidence, self-esteem, and new skills
• Managing risk assessments and ensuring the safety of all participants
• Contributing to curriculum development by suggesting relevant content
• Promoting the values and ethos of the school
• Committing to ongoing professional development and training


Criteria
• Qualified Forest School Leader Level 3 or equivalent/higher
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage students
• Passion for working with children and promoting outdoor learning
• Physically able to handle outdoor equipment and maintain the grounds
• Excellent record-keeping and paperwork management skills
• A solid understanding of safeguarding practices and child welfare
