Location: Bristol (Commutable from Thornbury, Bradley Stoke, Patchway, Almondsbury, Filton, Stoke Gifford, Yate, Chipping Sodbury, and surrounding areas)

Salary:
Actual salary £35,400 - £38,400 (FTE £37,700 - £44,700) dependent on experience Hours: 40 hours per week – Term time only

Main Purpose of the Role:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be a vital part of our multi-disciplinary team, delivering high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions. You will provide expert advice and training to parents, carers, and professionals, managing a diverse caseload of children with complex needs, including autism, sensory needs, and attachment difficulties.

Key Duties:

  • Professional Accountability: Ensure all aspects of your work meet professional and legal standards, managing young people with diverse needs.
  • Autonomous Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments for children with additional needs, developing and implementing tailored intervention plans.
  • Intervention Delivery: Use clinical reasoning to create, evaluate, and adjust individualized treatment plans that support daily living, self-care, productivity, and leisure.
  • Clinical Governance: Demonstrate a strong understanding of clinical governance and risk management, utilizing evidence-based treatment plans.

Criteria

  • Qualifications: A recognized degree in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration. Membership in RCOT is required.
  • Experience: Proven experience in an occupational therapy role, working within multi-disciplinary and multi-agency settings. Knowledge of managing children with autism, sensory needs, and attachment difficulties using evidence-based strategies is essential.
  • Skills: Expertise in using sensory strategies to support children and young people.
