After 10 years of working in Recruitment for the Health & Social Care sectors for a couple of Global Recruitment Organisations I decided to start my own business. I went into recruitment in my 30s, prior to that I had very customer service orientated roles. I took with me some good old-fashioned values, values that I found didn't fit well within the Recruitment Industry and I hated how I was expected to work.
I learned that it was more about how many CVs you can send and how much you are going to bill every month. This did not sit well with me in, and it did not matter whether I was doing my job well and that the right people were being placed into the care sector.
When I interview someone I want to say, WOW! Loved her!
My aunty was abused in a Care Home which was heart-breaking. I am passionate that the right people should be employed in a Sector as sensitive as Care! That's why when we interview we look for passion! What lead you to work in care? Why do you do it? I am very proud of what we have achieved at Social Care & Education Jobs & our amazing team. I love my job and wouldn't be happy doing anything else. I hate it when we get tarred with the same brush as other recruiters but love it too when a client calls and says "You've proved me wrong".
We have built an excellent team of experts, all of which specialise in their own sector, meaning they fully understand the job vacancy they are recruiting for. They are the most amazing team, and we share one passion & that is the wonderful Healthcare, Social Care Sector & Education Sector!
In my spare time, I love being with my family. I have three lovely children and a fab husband. We love walking, and we are season ticket holders for Leeds United. We have also just had a new addition to our family Bailey our Cockapoo pup. After Bailey Peacock Farrell, who was a Leeds United Goal Keeper.....
